At Regal Jewellery’s Kannur showroom, Athma Art Studio curated a pair of wall artworks that beautifully weave together the region’s vibrant cultural identity with the brand’s celebration of weddings and heritage. Drawing inspiration from local traditions and timeless matrimonial ceremonies, the visual storytelling connects emotionally with customers—especially those seeking jewellery for life’s most sacred moments.
This mural captures the spirit of Kannur through its most iconic traditions. Rendered in a warm terracotta monochrome, the piece features:
Theyyam – A vivid nod to the divine performance art of North Kerala.
Muthappan – Representing Kannur’s spiritual core.
Duffmuttu – A traditional Muslim folk art form symbolizing harmony.
Kalaripayattu – Kerala’s ancient martial art form, adding dynamism and strength.
All these elements flow across the wall, tied together through swirling waves of design, symbolizing unity in cultural diversity.
The second artwork draws from a vintage wedding scene, where the bride is gracefully carried in a Pallakku (palanquin), accompanied by an entourage of women and guards. This elegant visual references Kerala’s rich matrimonial customs, tying beautifully with the store’s wedding-oriented offerings.
Local Cultural Pride – A vibrant tribute to Kannur’s traditions and history.
Wedding-Themed Narrative – The palanquin journey echoes Regal’s focus on bridal jewellery.
Complementary Aesthetics – Both pieces are designed to uplift the space without distracting from the jewellery displays.
Strengthens Customer Connection – Deepens emotional engagement through cultural and ceremonial themes.
Blends Art with Brand Story – Reflects the values of tradition, elegance, and celebration.
Elevates the Showroom Experience – Makes the visit memorable and meaningful, especially for wedding shoppers.
