Lords83 Resort: A Tribute to Cricket’s Greatest Triumph  

Project Overview  

Lords83 Resort stands as a living homage to India’s legendary 1983 World Cup victory. Designed for cricket enthusiasts and travelers alike, this one-of-a-kind resort recreates the iconic balcony at Lord’s Cricket Ground—where Kapil Dev famously lifted the trophy—and weaves an immersive narrative celebrating the spirit of the game. Athma ArtStudio was entrusted with bringing this vision to life through a series of art installations that blend history, culture, and contemporary design.

The Concept

Our mission was to craft an engaging journey through cricket’s storied past, culminating in the glorious moment of India’s 1983 triumph. Central to the design is a history tunnel that guides visitors through pivotal milestones of Indian cricket. This tunnel culminates in a meticulously recreated balcony, echoing the same vantage point from which the World Cup was held aloft. Additionally, a symbolic weathervane, reminiscent of Lord’s famous “Father Time,” pays tribute to the timeless traditions of the sport.

Our Creation  

– History Tunnel: A walkthrough exhibit featuring dynamic visuals, memorabilia, and storytelling elements that immerse guests in the evolution of Indian cricket.  

– Iconic Balcony: Modeled after the Lord’s Cricket Ground balcony, allowing visitors to relive the euphoria of that historic day in 1983.  

– Weathervane Sculpture: A nod to the classic Lord’s emblem, underscoring the resort’s deep connection to cricket’s heritage.  

Every detail—from the color palette to the artistic flourishes—was carefully chosen to evoke nostalgia and pride, transforming Lords83 Resort into more than just a getaway spot. It becomes a place where the echoes of a nation’s victory still resonate.
